In 2023, I bought tickets to a Shakira concert for October 2024 and was promised a fan presale code by Ticketmaster—but never received it. After more than 20 frustrating calls to their unhelpful customer service, I finally got a code through their Twitter/X messaging system.
That concert was canceled, and Ticketmaster again promised a presale code for the rescheduled show. Once again, they failed to deliver. I had to repeat the same exhausting process on X to get access. Then the rescheduled concert was postponed to a date I couldn’t attend, so I requested a refund. Ticketmaster’s phone support is abysmal—long wait times, untrained agents, and no real help. Even their automated message warns not to be mean to staff, which says it all. The only reliable method of contact is their X/Twitter messages, but it’s unacceptable that customers are forced to rely on social media just to receive basic support.
My wife bought tickets from Ticketmaster to the Daddy Yankee show. Our credit card was charged and the tickets were in our account – until they disappeared. We couldn’t get any help from Ticketmaster before the show, and when we arrived with our emailed receipt from Ticketmaster, the venue said they couldn’t help us.
We didn’t get to see the show, never got a refund and also had to pay for a hotel we booked to see the show. Ticketmaster fails fans.
I’m seriously over Ticketmaster and their ridiculous hidden fees. It’s beyond frustrating to see a ticket listed at one price, only to have it jump up by $20–$40 with “service” and “processing” fees that make zero sense. Why is it always a surprise charge at checkout? It feels dishonest, greedy, and just plain shady. We deserve transparency not a bait-and-switch every time we want to enjoy a concert or event.
Does Ticketmaster buy their own tickets to "resell" for popular acts? How else does one explain how quickly things sell out? Needs better control over bots. I have resorted to going to venues in person to buy my tickets to save all the ridiculous fees.
I had second row tickets to see Cyndy Lauper next Tuesday night in Concord, CA. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show was cancelled. The real reason is poor ticket sales. They charge too much.
I am a lover of concerts, the energy at a concert is unreal and like nothing else, but, i cant afford to even think about going to concerts anymore...the prices are too much and most people i know cant afford the prices either...even nosebleed seats are too much. I understand the cost of living went up from when i was young going to concerts, but, make it more affordable for those who dont have alot to spend on one ticket...we love concerts too!!
Besides, i thought monopolies were supposed to be illegal in this country!!!! Lower prices would make it so we all can enjoy our favorite bands or sporting events or anything.
